SCDF urges timely registration for Events
SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) - The St. Maarten Carnival Development Foundation (SCDF) wishes to remind all interested participants that the deadline to register for specific Carnival 2025 events is November 1, 2024. SCDF strongly urges anyone who intends to participate to complete their registration by this date, as the deadline will not be extended.
“We understand that Carnival is a highlight of the year for many in our community and beyond, and we hope to avoid any situations where participants are regretfully left out due to missed deadlines. It is essential to stress that the registration process, which was opened in July, was deliberately designed to span five months, providing ample time for all participants to confirm their involvement,” a press release from the foundation read.
The importance of this deadline cannot be overstated. Proper planning and preparation are critical to the success of every Carnival event. From logistics to booth coordination, and from security to the overall enjoyment of attendees, each aspect of Carnival hinges on early and accurate planning, which begins with registration.
“If we do not receive sufficient registrations for any particular event, SCDF may have no choice but to cancel that event for 2025. As much as we would like to offer a full lineup of events, priority must be given to the proper organization and preparation of the entire Carnival experience. This requires knowing the number of participants well in advance.”
“We encourage all participants—whether individuals, groups, or organizations—who wish to be part of Carnival 2025 to act now and ensure their place in the festivities. Let’s work together to make Carnival 2025 the best one yet,” the foundation concluded.
