SCDF reminds of Carnival registration deadline November 1
SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) - The St. Maarten Carnival Development Foundation (SCDF) on Wednesday reminded the general public that registration to participate in the 2024 Carnival festivities will close on November 1, 2023.
The foundation gave all parties interested in Carnival four months to register online after the process was opened on July 16 this year.
Registration is currently open for all aspects of Carnival and must be complied with by the deadline. No extensions will be offered. Persons and entities that took part in Carnival in 2023, also have to register for the new Carnival year.

“The registration process is important for planning. The amount of persons registered for any given event, tells us how we should plan and budget for that show or if we should host the show at all. So we urge one and all to remember the deadline for registration.
“We opened it in July to give folks enough time to consider and decide. The amount of work that goes into preparations is extensive,” the SCDF said.
The only aspect of Carnival that is given leeway in terms of registration is the troupes.
